   Ella my Cousin

My cousin Ella. She is small and slim. Her nose is soft and has two freckles on it. Her ears are small and very tan. She has pitch black eyes and a hint of green.  She has a slim body with tan skin  with freckles that look like chocolate chip cookies. Her legs are more tan than the rest of her body. She has brown shimmery hair and blonde streaks . Her clothes are rainbow, pink and purple. She wears tutus and tights like mine. Her favourite thing to do is art and craft. She likes building things like cats and dogs. She likes to play netball and soccer. Her personality is nice and silly. She has a squeaky voice like a mouse. She talks about her favourite you tuber and rainbows. She has a nice voice. She walks with swag and hops in every step.

History about New Zealand

History about New Zealand

It wasn’t until about 1300 that Aotearoa / New Zealand was settled. In the 1800 different cultures (they) had to learn to live together in Aotearoa

                                           New Zealand.

Early Polynesian Navigators came in the 1300. Kupe’s wife first saw our 

land and called” out Te Ao Te Aotearoa. NZ was one of the last places to be discovered because it's so far away. At the bottom of the world.They wondered where migrating birds went every year,so they followed them. They used the moon and sun to navigate.I used the clouds to reflect real land.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi On the 6th of February 1840 the treaty was signed by 500 Maori chiefs. Not all Maori chiefs signed because some thought it was a bad idea. Henry Williams translated it into the Moari Version of the treaty. The treaty is different, like the Maori had to give up their sovereignty. The Chiefs put a mark {tattoo} to show that they signed. There were 9 copies

European settlement in New Zealand grew from the 1850s. People came by boat. It was not a good ride because it took 6 weeks and they did not have a toilet. They only had a bucket and one of the kids had to tip the bucket  over the side of the ship. After arriving in Lyttelton they had to walk  over the Bridle Path with their luggage. Girls had no fun because they had to do boring chores like tidying, washing and sweeping the deck.

These are some important moments in New Zealand Aotearoa history. They have helped us to shape who we are today.

                                  We have been doing MkeyMakey it is a 

                                  controller. Me and Jessica And Nevaeh

                               have try different things like tinfoil Play-Doh.

                                  we did a pizza to be are controller we got

              a box with cords. and we had to put the cords on to the MkeyMakey

               are pizza was made out of cardboard tin foil and colouring pencils. 

              when we finished our pizza we played Pac-Man with a controller.

Bed time

   Bed time

                 At bedtime me and Jessica did not feel good. 

We did not have Mums and Dads. It was pitch black. I could not see anything. It was too  dark. We got to sleep at  10: 00. I woke up to Jessica saying “Wake up, wake up Emma” I  said “it's only  1: 00”. It was still dark and I was scared. I itched my leg because Sandflies   were eating me 

alive. I got back to sleep and woke up at 4:50. It 

I could just make out silhouette of the door I heard snoring it was 

Jessica was snoring and it was loud. A got back to sleep. And 

Woke up two slaps in the face JESSICA. But I did ask for it so I      

                         would wake up in time for the day.
